“Reimagining Child Rights in the 21st Century: Protection, Participation, and Policy Reform.”
The inclusion of “Reimagining Child Rights in the 21st Century” as the central theme of this Special Edition stems from the urgent need to critically assess the evolving nature of child rights in India’s socio-legal landscape. The objective is to bridge the gap between legislation and implementation by encouraging research that identifies systemic challenges, evaluates institutional frameworks, and proposes forward-looking reforms rooted in justice and equity. By dedicating this issue exclusively to child rights, the Journal aims to foster an informed and reform-driven dialogue among legal professionals, policymakers, and researchers. The purpose is not merely to examine protective mechanisms but to advance discourse on children’s participation, autonomy, and empowerment within the justice system. This Special Edition aspires to contribute meaningfully to national and international discussions on child protection, while reaffirming the principle that ensuring the dignity, safety, and holistic development of every child is central to the pursuit of justice and the rule of law.
