The Fox & Mandal – NALSAR Mediation Tournament 5.0 is set to take place from 6th to 8th February 2026 at NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad. This prestigious event continues the tradition of promoting alternative dispute resolution (ADR) and nurturing the next generation of skilled mediators and negotiators.

About the Organisers:

Fox & Mandal:
Founded in 1896, Fox & Mandal is one of India’s oldest full‑service law firms. With offices across four cities, the firm has built a legacy of excellence in diverse practice areas including corporate law, dispute resolution, banking & finance, insolvency, real estate, and infrastructure. In 2023, India Post commemorated the firm’s 125‑year heritage with a special cover and stamp. NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad:
Established in 1998, NALSAR is among India’s premier law schools, recognised by NAAC with a score of 3.52/4 and ranked 3rd in NIRF India Rankings 2024. The University has consistently championed law as a tool for social change and fosters a vibrant academic environment that values innovation, dialogue, and justice.

About the Tournament:

The Fox & Mandal – NALSAR Mediation Tournament, 5.0 is designed to popularise mediation and negotiation as effective dispute resolution methods and viable career paths for budding lawyers.

• Format: Each team comprises three participants – Client, Counsel, and Mediator.
• Rounds:
  • Qualifier Round – based on submission of a Strategy Paper.
  • On‑Campus Rounds – 24 qualifying teams will compete in 3 Preliminary Rounds, followed by Semi‑Finals and the Final.
• Time Limits: 60 minutes for preliminaries, 90 minutes for advanced rounds.
• Eligibility: Open to students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in law (LLB or equivalent). Cross‑institutional and multiple teams per university are permitted.

Key Dates:

• Registrations Open: 10th December 2025
• Strategy Paper Release & Registrations Close: 25th December 2025
• Strategy Paper Submission: 7th January 2026
• Result Declaration: 12th January 2026
• Tournament Rounds: 6th – 8th February 2026

Registration & Fees:

• Qualifier Round: ₹3,500 per team (25%)
• Mediation Rounds: ₹10,500 per team (75%)
• Total Fee: ₹14,000 per team

Accommodation, meals, and access to the Social Night at NALSAR Hyderabad are included in the registration fee. Teams will be hosted at Honeyberg Resort, near the campus.

Awards & Incentives:

Participants stand to win cash prizes and internship opportunities. Awards will be presented in the following categories:
