About Legalis IP

Legalis IP is an independent legal scholarship and policy research platform operating at the intersection of Law, Technology, and Intellectual Property, in association with The Intellectual Foundation (TIF).

The platform focuses on contemporary and emerging areas of legal and policy discourse, including intellectual property, artificial intelligence, data governance, technology law, cyber law, and digital governance. Legalis IP aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical professional development through research, publications, editorial initiatives, academic programmes, webinars, competitions, and institutional collaborations.

About the Internship

Legalis IP is inviting applications for its October 2026 Internship Programme, offering students and recent graduates an opportunity to gain practical exposure through ongoing research, publication, editorial, and digital communication initiatives.

Positions Available

1. Research Interns – Up to 30 positions

2. Social Media Interns – Up to 5 positions

3. Editor Intern – Up to1 position

Roles & Responsibilities

Research Intern

  • Conduct legal and interdisciplinary research.
  • Research contemporary legal and policy issues.
  • Prepare research notes, briefs, articles, and academic material.
  • Analyse relevant statutes, case laws, regulations, and scholarly sources.
  • Assist with ongoing research and publication projects.

Social Media Intern

  • Assist with social media and digital outreach.
  • Create and coordinate content for academic initiatives.
  • Promote webinars, publications, competitions, and other programmes.
  • Support audience engagement and digital communication.
  • Contribute ideas towards strengthening Legalis IP’s online presence.

Editor Intern

  • Assist with editorial review and publication workflows.
  • Review content for structure, clarity, grammar, and consistency.
  • Assist with citation and formatting checks.
  • Support the preparation of articles and academic publications.
  • Coordinate with authors and relevant internal teams where required.

Eligibility

Applications are invited from:

  • Law students pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate programmes.
  • Recent law graduates.
  • Students and researchers from allied disciplines.
  • Candidates interested in law, technology, policy, research, communications, content, or related fields.

Candidates should demonstrate professionalism, willingness to learn, consistency, good communication skills, and the ability to responsibly complete assigned work.

6 weeks

1 October 2026 – 14 November 2026

Stipend

This is a voluntary and unpaid internship. No monetary stipend will be provided.

  • Research Interns – 30
  • Social Media Interns – 5
  • Editor Intern – 1

Selection Process

CV Screening → Interview → Final Selection

Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for the interview stage.
