Constituent Assembly Simulation: “Nyaya Nama” by Dharamshastra National Law University, Jabalpur. Last Date to Register: 5th November 2025.
Dharmashastra National Law University (DNLU), Jabalpur was established in 2018 under the Madhya Pradesh National Law University Act. It aspires to be a center of excellence in legal education, research, and ethical practice. DNLU nurtures a vibrant legal culture through specialized training and scholarly engagement.
Established in 2020 at DNLU, Jabalpur, the Centre for Constitutional Law (CCL) fosters critical engagement with contemporary constitutional issues. Led by Dr. Ashit Kumar Srivastava and a committed student team, it promotes research and discourse beyond the classroom. CCL has hosted initiatives like certificate courses, panel discussions, and national competitions. Through academic and co-curricular efforts, it advances constitutional literacy and policy-oriented dialogue.
A constitution is not just forged from quill and page; rather, it is constructed from voices, visions, arguments, debates, and dissents. Nyayamana, a flagship event hosted by the Centre for Constitutional Law at Dharmshastra National Law University, aims to bring this spirit of constitution framing to life. Nyayanama presents an arena where brilliant minds can meet, imagine, clash, or negotiate all to give birth to the foundational text that is constitutional. Nyayanama is an event that brings life to the spirit of nation building, beyond being a competition, it’s an immersive journey into the constitution genesis.
Nyayanama is unlike other competitions like moot courts, where arguments are centred around a single case, and debates, where words clash. Nyayanama simulates the energy of a Constituent Assembly. It is a one-of-a-kind venture wherein the oratory practices of mock parliament are combined with the statesmanship of the model UN. Participants get to step inside the shoes of nation-builders, navigating party politics, ideological differences, and the delicate art of compromise to draft a working constitution.
Stage 1: Preliminary Round (Online Mode)
Participants will receive a scenario based on contemporary sociopolitical issues. Each participant must submit a 2-minute video voicing their stance.

Stage 2: The Main Event (On-Campus) (Dates: 22nd–23rd November 2025)
Aside from its process, Nyayamana’s soul is in what it teaches. It is a practice in democratic deliberation, demonstrating that disagreement activates dialogue instead of silencing it. Participants are taught to think outside the self, write lasting laws, and practice the arts of persuasion, negotiation, and visioning that characterize leadership. To celebrate excellence, Nyayamana also recognizes outstanding performances through individual awards. Participants who demonstrate exceptional oration, constitutional reasoning, strategic engagement, and collaboration are honored across multiple categories:
Come and experience the thrill of nation-building like never before. Shape, debate, and define the Constitution of your imagined nation. Don’t miss your chance to be part of Nyayamana – where words shape worlds and ideas build nations.
