National Legislative Drafting Competition | Shankarrao Chavan Law College | Pune | Online Mode | Submit by 18th Feb 2026


About Organizers:

Marathwada Mitra Mandal’s Shankarrao Chavan Law College, Pune (permanently affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University and approved by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi; reaccredited with ‘A’ Grade by NAAC) is organizing the 6th Edition of the National Legislative Drafting Competition (Online) for the academic year 2025-26.


Theme:

The Right to Disconnect from Work Bill
(Participants may reframe the title as per their draft.)


Drafting Guidelines:

  • Draft length must not exceed 20 pages.
  • Optional explanatory note (separate file) up to 5 pages.
  • Draft must be uploaded in MS Word format.
  • Formatting: Times New Roman, font size 12, justified text, line spacing 1.5, margins 1″ on all sides, page numbers at bottom right.
  • First page must include Name, Address, Contact details, Institution, and Year of Study (2025-26).
  • Evaluation criteria: structure, logic, addressing legal issues, clarity, conciseness, and innovative ideas.

Eligibility:

  • UG students of any stream.
  • Maximum 2 members per team.
  • Maximum 2 teams per institution.
  • No registration fee.

Important Dates:

  • Last Date for Submission: 18 February 2026 (till 01:00 p.m.)
  • Declaration of Results: Online programme (details and link will be shared via email).
  • All participants will receive e-certificates.

Awards:

  • 1st Prize: ₹10,000/-
  • 2nd Prize: ₹7,000/-
  • 3rd Prize: ₹5,000/-
