The Bar Council of India has officially released the schedule for the All India Bar Examination – XXI to be held in June, 2025.

Why Passing AIBE is Important?

Clearing the AIBE is not just a formality—it is the decisive step that transforms a law graduate into a recognized advocate, granting the right to practice in courts across India.

  • Online Registration Opens: 11th Feb 2026
  • Payment Window Begins: 11th Feb 2026
  • Last Date for Registration: 30th April 2026
  • Last Date for Online Payments: 1st May 2026
  • Correction Window Closes: 3rd May 2026
  • Admit Cards Available From: 22nd May 2026
  • Examination Day: 7th June 2026

Overview of the Exam:

Exam Pattern:

  • Type of Questions: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
  • Total Questions: 100
  • Total Marks: 100 (1 mark each)
  • Negative Marking: None
  • Duration: 3 hours 30 minutes

Mode of Examination:

  • Format: Offline, pen‑and‑paper based test.
  • Open Book Policy: Candidates may carry bare acts (without notes or commentary) into the exam hall, making it a test of application and interpretation rather than memorization.

Passing Criteria:

  1. General/OBC Candidates: 45%
  2. SC/ST & Disabled Candidates: 40%
