About the Organisation The Centre for Women and Family Studies (CWFS), established in 2014, is an advanced research centre of the National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS), Kochi. NUALS was founded under Act 27 of 2005 of the Kerala State Legislature and has consistently contributed to legal scholarship and academic excellence.

About the Journal The CWFS invites original and unpublished manuscripts for the inaugural issue of the NUALS Journal of Women, Family and Law. This annual, double‑blind peer‑reviewed interdisciplinary journal is dedicated to advancing scholarship on socio‑legal issues related to women, gender, family, and human rights.

Scope and Themes The journal provides a critical forum for analysis of laws, policies, institutions, and practices affecting women and family. It encourages interdisciplinary and comparative approaches that contribute to equality, justice, and social transformation. Indicative themes include:

• Women’s Rights and Human Rights
• Constitutional Perspectives on Gender Justice
• Feminist Legal Theory and Jurisprudence
• Family Law and Social Justice
• Workplace Equality and Sexual Harassment
• Reproductive Rights and Bodily Autonomy
• Digital Spaces, Technology, and Women’s Rights
• Comparative Perspectives on Women and Family Laws

Submission Categories

• Research Articles: 6000–7500 words
• Short Articles: 5000–6000 words
• Case Comments: 2500–3000 words
• Book Reviews: 2500–3000 words

Submission Guidelines

• Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.
• Co‑authorship is limited to two authors.
• All submissions will undergo a double‑blind peer review process.
• Manuscripts must not contain identifying information; authors must attach a separate file with name, designation, official email, contact number, and communication address.
• Standard Indian Legal Citation must be followed.
• Submissions (except case comments and book reviews) must include an abstract of not more than 300 words and five keywords.
• Manuscripts should be emailed to cwfs@nuals.ac.in with the subject line Journal Submission 2026.
• File naming format: AuthorName2026 (e.g., Arunima2026).

Pre‑conditions for Publication

• Authors bear full responsibility for their work; the journal assumes no liability for infringement.
• Authors grant the journal a non‑exclusive, royalty‑free license to reproduce, publish, and distribute their work.

Important Dates

• Last Date for Submission: 20 October 2026
• Notification of Acceptance: 10 January 2027
• Publication of Inaugural Issue: March 2027
