National Law University Delhi’s Innovation Brief is inviting blog submissions on the EU–India Free Trade Agreement (FTA), focusing on its implications for intellectual property, technology, and competition law. The deadline for submissions is 20 October 2026, with manuscripts to be submitted via the official portal.

About The Innovation Brief

  • A student-led platform at NLU Delhi.
  • Supported by the Centre for Innovation, Intellectual Property and Competition (CIIPC).
  • Aims to foster accessible discourse at the intersection of law, innovation, technology, IP, and public policy.

Scope of Submissions

  • Primary Focus: Intellectual property, technology, and competition law.
  • October 2026 Theme: EU–India Free Trade Agreement (FTA).
  • Submissions may explore:
    • Pharmaceutical patents, data exclusivity, compulsory licensing, generics.
    • Geographical Indications (GIs), traditional knowledge, copyright enforcement.
    • Digital trade, competition policy, technology transfer, MSMEs.
    • Balancing European protection standards with India’s development and public health priorities.

Eligibility

  • No bar on eligibility.
  • Open to students, academicians, researchers, practitioners, and professionals across disciplines.

Submission Guidelines

  • Length: 800–1,500 words (longer pieces may be considered exceptionally).
  • Format: Times New Roman, 12-point font, 1.5 spacing, 1-inch margins.
  • Referencing: Hyperlinks preferred; footnotes in OSCOLA format if necessary.
  • Style: British spellings, bold titles, italics for case names and quotations.
  • File Type: .doc or .docx.
  • Authorship: Maximum of two co-authors.
  • Originality: Must be unpublished and not under review elsewhere.
  • Checks: Submissions undergo plagiarism and AI detection via Turnitin.

Review & Publication

  • Editorial Board review within 14 days.
  • Multiple rounds of feedback possible.
  • Copyright remains with The Innovation Brief; moral rights vest with authors.
  • Accepted blogs will be published on the platform.
