About Journal on Corporate Law and Governance (“JCLG”)

The Journal on Corporate Law & Governance [“the Journal”] is a research hub under the rubrics of National Law University, Jodhpur, dedicated to research and development of governance standards for the corporate world. To promote holistic research on areas covered within the broad ambit of corporate law, the Journal came out with an annual publication in 2008. The Journal is evidence of invincible research, thought-provoking ideas, and significant academic and intellectual standards. It offers a forum for critical research on the interplay of contemporary corporate law issues, both from an academic and industry perspective. The Journal is peer-reviewed with ISSN serial publication No. 0976-0369 and indexed on HeinOnline, SCC Online and Manupatra.

About Volume IX Issue 2

The Journal on Corporate Law & Governance (“JCLG”), published under the aegis of the National Law University, Jodhpur, seeks to foster rigorous and contemporary scholarship on developments within the broad field of corporate law and governance. The Journal provides a platform for legal practitioners, academicians, researchers and students to critically examine emerging issues affecting the corporate and commercial landscape, while encouraging research that contributes to legal, regulatory and policy discourse.

For Volume IX, Issue 2, the Editorial Board invites original submissions addressing contemporary developments across the diverse and evolving dimensions of corporate law and governance. Submissions may engage with, inter alia, Corporate Law and Corporate Governance, Mergers and Acquisitions, Securities and Capital Markets, Banking and Finance, Insolvency and Bankruptcy, Competition Law, Foreign Investment, Investment Funds, Environmental, Social and Governance frameworks, Technology and Corporate Regulation, Data Protection and Privacy in Corporate Transactions, Intellectual Property, Labour and Employment, Taxation, Dispute Resolution, and related regulatory developments.

The Editorial Board particularly welcomes submissions that critically examine recent legislative and regulatory developments, judicial decisions, institutional practices and emerging challenges in the corporate and commercial sphere. Contributions that adopt an interdisciplinary, comparative or policy-oriented approach, and those that offer concrete recommendations for strengthening India’s corporate and regulatory framework, are especially encouraged.

The Journal also welcomes insightful scholarship on emerging and interdisciplinary issues at the intersection of law, business, finance and technology, provided that such submissions fall within the broad mandate of the Journal and contribute meaningfully to contemporary discourse on corporate law and governance.

Please note that the list of sub-themes is merely suggestive and non-exhaustive in nature. Authors may choose to submit manuscripts on other relevant and contemporary topics.

Submission Guidelines

The deadline for receipt of submissions is September 26, 2026.

Please note that submissions must conform to the following requirements:

  • The author(s) may contribute to the Journal in the form of Articles, Notes, Comments and Case Analysis.
  • The acceptable length of Articles is more than 4,500 words, and of Notes, Comments & Case Analysis is between 2,500–4,500 words, including footnotes.
  • All submissions must include an abstract of not more than 300 words, explaining the main idea, the objective of the article and the conclusions drawn from it.
  • The manuscript should be on A4-sized paper, in Garamond, font size 12, 1.5 line spacing, justified, with 1-inch margins on each side. Footnotes should be in Garamond, font size 10, with single line spacing.
  • The authors must conform to the Bluebook (20th edition) Uniform System of Citation.
  • The manuscript should not contain any identification of the author(s), which shall be a ground for rejection of the submission. Authors should provide their contact details, designation, institutional affiliation and address in the covering letter for the submission.
  • The submission must be the original work of the authors. Any form of plagiarism will lead to direct rejection.
  • The relevant sources should be duly acknowledged as footnotes. The decision of the Editorial Board in this regard shall be final.

Submission Procedure

  • Authors are requested to send an electronic version of their manuscripts in .doc or .docx format to jclg@nlujodhpur.ac.in with the subject line “Submission – [Name of Author] – Volume IX Issue 2.”
  • The document name must be in the following format: “[Name of Author(s)] – [Title of Submission].”
  • The e-mail must contain a covering letter providing the authors’ contact details, designation, institutional affiliation, and address.
