About Organizers:
The Centre for Law and Urban Development (CLUD) at National Law University Delhi invites submissions for its ongoing blog series. This initiative seeks to foster meaningful dialogue on the intersection of law and urban development, encouraging contributions from scholars, practitioners, policymakers, and students.
About the Blog Series:
Urban development in India is undergoing rapid transformation, shaped by legal frameworks, policy innovations, and governance challenges. CLUD’s blog series provides a platform for critical perspectives, insightful analysis, and innovative solutions on pressing issues in urban law and policy.
Indicative Themes:
Contributors may explore a wide range of topics, including but not limited to:
- Real Estate & Housing Policy – Affordable housing, redevelopment, and regulatory incentives.
- Urban Taxation & City Finance – Property tax systems, infrastructure levies, and compliance reforms.
- Healthcare & Pharma Regulation – Policy frameworks for urban health infrastructure and medical innovation.
- Urban Project Financing & Insolvency – REITs, SEBI frameworks, and insolvency law in real estate.
- Collaborative Models for Infrastructure – PPP frameworks, risk‑sharing, and public interest safeguards.
- Smart Cities & Digital Infrastructure – IoT, data governance, and connectivity frameworks.
- Green & Sustainable Cities – Climate‑resilient planning, green building regulations, and sustainability.
- Construction & Materials Regulation – Building codes, quality standards, and industry compliance.
- Power, Water & Urban Utilities – Regulatory reforms in electricity, water, and waste management.
(Themes are indicative, not exhaustive. Submissions beyond these areas are welcome.)
Submission Guidelines:
- Nature of Submissions: Analytical blogs (not descriptive) between 800–1500 words.
- Abstract: A brief abstract (≤50 words) must accompany the submission.
- Author Details: Short bio (≈100 words), high‑resolution photo, and LinkedIn profile link.
- Co‑Authorship: Allowed up to two authors.
- Formatting: Times New Roman, size 12, line spacing 1.5, margins 1 inch. Titles bold & underlined; headings properly structured.
- Referencing: Hyperlinks to sources within the text.
- File Format: .doc/.docx, named as “Title_CLUD Blog.” Title ≤10 words.
- Submission Email: clud@nludelhi.ac.in with subject line “Submission for Centre for Law and Urban Development Blog Series.”
- Plagiarism Policy: Submissions must be original; screened via plagiarism and AI detection software.
- Timeline: Rolling basis; authors notified within two weeks of submission.
Publication & Author Agreement:
- Accepted blogs will be published on CLUD’s official platform.
- On publication, literary rights transfer to CLUD, NLU Delhi.
- Authors are responsible for factual accuracy and originality.
