About the Festival

Maharishi Law School is hosting the 4th Vidhi Mahotsava – 2026, a premier legal festival designed to expand the horizons of legal education and practice. The festival provides a vibrant platform for students to showcase their socio-legal skills, engage in academic deliberations, and foster interpersonal and professional networks.

The event will feature cultural performances, academic sessions, and five major competitions:

Theme: Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, Digital Governance & Justice: Challenges & Solutions

  • Focus on AI, blockchain, cyber law, privacy, digital rights, and governance.
  • Sub-themes include AI in forensics, cybercrime investigation, digital evidence, regulatory frameworks, IoT forensics, and AI in law enforcement.
  • Important Dates:
    • Abstract Submission & Registration: 15th September, 2026
    • Full Paper Submission: 20th September, 2026
    • Acceptance Notification: 30th September, 2026
  • Mode: Hybrid (Offline & Online)
  • Publication: Selected papers to be published in Scopus Edited Book/ISBN or Maharishi Journal of Law & Society.

4th MMY Moot Court Competition – 2026

Dates: 14th – 17th October, 2026

  • Prestigious national-level competition fostering advocacy, research, and courtroom skills.
  • Eligibility: Students of 5-year Integrated Law, 3-year LL.B, B.Tech LL.B, or Company Secretary courses.
  • Team Composition: 2–3 members (Speakers + Researcher).
  • Structure: Preliminary, Quarterfinal, Semifinal, and Final rounds.
  • Memorials required from both sides, following strict formatting and citation rules.
  • Registration Deadline: 1st October, 2026.

2nd MMY Debate Competition – 2026

Dates: 15th – 16th October, 2026

  • Encourages critical thinking and persuasive communication.
  • Prizes:
    • Winner: ₹5100 + Trophy + Certificate
    • Runner-up: ₹2100 + Trophy + Certificate
    • Best Speaker: ₹1100 + Trophy + Certificate

4th MMY Client Counseling Competition – 2026

Dates: 15th – 17th October, 2026

  • Focus on practical skills of client interaction and problem-solving.
  • Prizes:
    • Winner: ₹10,000 + Certificate + Memento
    • 1st Runner-up: ₹8000 + Certificate + Memento
    • 2nd Runner-up: ₹6000 + Certificate + Memento

4th MMY Judgment Writing Competition – 2026

Date: 16th October, 2026

  • Enhances drafting and analytical skills.
  • Prizes:
    • Winner: ₹7000 + Trophy + Certificate
    • Runner-up: ₹3000 + Trophy + Certificate

  • Conference: ₹800 – ₹1400 (Students/Academicians/Advocates; Foreign Authors $50)
  • Moot Court: ₹3500 per team
