Qualifying Exam for Indian Nationals holding Foreign Law Degrees
The 23rd Bar Council of India Qualifying Examination for Indian Nationals Holding Foreign Law Degrees exam from (15th to 20th December, 2025) from 11.00 AM to 02.00 PM in the premises of the Bar Council of India at 21, Rouse Avenue, Institutional Area, New Delhi-110002.
There shall be 6 physical papers of 3 hours each and of 100 marks each spread over 6 days. The exam will begin at 11 am and conclude at 2 pm.

The paper subjects and sequence are as follows: –

| 6 | Saturday, 20.12.2025 11.00 AM to 02.00 PM | The Indian Legal Profession and Code of Ethics. |
For candidates who have appeared in the examination previously and have one or two or more subject papers to clear, this examination is giving an opportunity of re-examination to all those candidates, who have not cleared all the papers in previous exam. They are required to appear only in that subject paper in which they are required to clear/pass on account of them being unable to appear for the said subject paper, previously, or having appeared for the same, have been unable to pass in such subject paper/exam previously.
A. No bare acts and books, including question answer guides, notes etc. shall be allowed for the following three papers
1. Constitution of India (Paper-1 on 15.12.2025),
2. Contract Law and Negotiable Instruments Act (Paper-2 on 16.12.2025)
3. Company Law (Paper-3 on 17.12.2025)
B. Only individual bare acts (not digests) (as available in the market, preferably with least short notes) shall be allowed for the following 3 papers. The bare acts, which may be allowed, should not bear any notings by pen/pencil, chits as per the past practice and decision of Committee. No books, including question answer guides, notes shall be allowed
4. Civil Procedure Code and Limitation Act, (Paper-4 on 18.12.2025)
5. Criminal Procedure Code (Paper-5 on 19.12.2025) and
6. The Indian Legal Profession and Code of Ethics (Paper-6 on 20.12.2025).
C. All mobile phones, watches/gadgets having internet connectivity are to be surrendered before the exam along with all bare acts, books, guide books, notes etc. of the nature which are not allowed to be kept during the exam with the candidates, as per above guidelines. The same has to be deposited outside the examination hall
D. The candidates should ensure to maintain the decorum and sanctity of the examination.
E. Any candidate found to be behaving adverse to the above guidelines, and in a manner not befitting a prospective Advocate etc., and/or having been found to be in possession of the aforementioned documents and articles etc., during the exam/s, and/ or found cheating, using unfair means, talking during exam/s, to other candidates, will have to surrender his/her paper and be debarred from the exam and/or be given a fresh answer sheet to write his/her paper etc. at the discretion of the invigilator.
