Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU), a NAAC A++ accredited Category‑I University, has released its official admission notification for the academic session 2026–27. The University invites applications for its prestigious law programmes at the Main Campus and Regional Centres, combining doctrinal study with practical training and interdisciplinary exposure.


Law Courses:

  1. LL.B (3 Years)
    • Admission through State Level Counselling.
    • Designed for graduates seeking a professional legal qualification.
    • Curriculum integrates core legal subjects, procedural law, and clinical legal education.
  2. B.A. LL.B (5 Years Integrated)
    • Admission through State Level Counselling.
    • Provides a comprehensive foundation in humanities and law, with an exit option after 3 years (B.A. Laws).
  3. LL.M (1 Year)
    • Offered at GNDU Amritsar and Regional Campuses (Jalandhar, Gurdaspur).
    • Admission through Entrance Test.
    • Advanced coursework in specialized legal fields, research methodology, and dissertation writing.
  4. Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Law (1 Year)
    • Admission on merit of qualifying examination.
    • Unique programme blending law, sports governance, and regulatory frameworks.

Admission Schedule (Law Courses):

  • Online Registration Opens: 08 May 2026
  • Registration Closes:
    • UG Law (LL.B, B.A. LL.B): 20 June 2026
    • PG Law (LL.M, PG Diploma): 11 July 2026
  • LL.M Entrance Test: 15 July 2026 (11:00 AM – 12:00 Noon, Department of Laws, GNDU Campus)
  • LL.M Counselling: 28–29 July 2026 (Joint counselling for Amritsar & Jalandhar campuses)
  • PG Diploma in Sports Law Counselling: 31 July 2026
  • LL.B (3 Years) & B.A. LL.B (5 Years): Admission via State Level Counselling (dates notified separately).

Application Process:

  1. Generate Student ID via GNDU Admission Portal.
  2. Register for the chosen law programme and pay the fee (₹1500 for General, ₹750 for SC/ST Punjab domicile).
  3. Download admit card (for LL.M entrance).
  4. Attend entrance test/counselling as per schedule.
