The International Conference on IP in the Climate and Sustainability Agenda is being organized by the Environmental Law & Climate Change Committee (ELCCC) of the Presidency School of Law, Presidency University, Bengaluru. ELCCC serves as a dynamic platform for students and faculty committed to addressing pressing environmental challenges through a legal lens, fostering awareness, advocacy, and research on sustainability and climate justice. Presidency University, a NAAC ‘A’ accredited institution with global recognition, and its School of Law—ranked among India’s leading law schools—bring together academic excellence, innovation, and societal engagement, making them well‑placed to host this global dialogue on intellectual property, climate change, and sustainable development.

About the Conference:

Presidency University, Bengaluru (NAAC ‘A’ accredited and globally recognized), through its Environmental Law & Climate Change Committee (ELCCC), is hosting the International Conference on Intellectual Property (IP) in the Climate and Sustainability Agenda. The event will bring together policymakers, academics, innovators, industry leaders, and civil society to explore how IP frameworks intersect with climate change, sustainability, and global justice.

The conference will examine how patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, and geographical indications can foster green innovation, facilitate technology transfer, and ensure equitable access to climate‑friendly technologies.

Objectives:

  • Examine the role of IP rights in climate change mitigation and adaptation.
  • Facilitate dialogue between policymakers, innovators, academics, and civil society.
  • Identify frameworks balancing proprietary rights with global public interest.
  • Encourage collaboration for technology transfer, capacity building, and inclusive innovation.

  • International Students: $45 International Academicians/Practitioners: $50
  • National Students: ₹3000 National Academicians/Practitioners: ₹3500
  • Participants: ₹2000 (India) $30 (International)

Certificates will be provided to all registered presenters and participants (hard copy for in‑person, e‑certificate for online).
