About the Organisation:

Yashwantrao Chavan Law College, established in 1978, is one of the leading law colleges in Maharashtra. The college has been conducting this prestigious moot court competition for the last eighteen years. Participants from across India—including Gujarat, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Orissa, Tamil Nadu, and Bihar—have actively taken part in previous editions.

The competition problem is always framed around contemporary legal issues, ensuring students gain exposure to practical areas of law. The final round is traditionally judged by a sitting Hon’ble Judge of the Bombay High Court.

Eligibility:

• Open to all Colleges/Institutions/Schools in India imparting legal education.
• Each institution may send one team of three members (two mooters and one researcher).
• All regular students enrolled in three-year or five-year undergraduate law courses during the academic year 2025–2026 are eligible.
