About the Organizer

Geeta Group of Institutions run by KR Education Society was started in 1992. Geeta Institute of Law is very well located on NH-1, G.T. Road Panipat, just 50 minutes run from Delhi.

The institute was granted affiliation by Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra in 2007 and affiliation has been approved by Bar Council of India. Geeta Institute of law is one of the prestigious Law Institute having honoured as being the best 35th law college in India by India Today Ranking.

About the Moot Court Competition:

Geeta Institute of Law, Panipat is pleased to announce its National Moot Court Competition, 2020 in the name of Hon’ble Justice Dipak Misra (Former Chief Justice of India).

The previous editions of the National Moot Court Competition have proved to be an enriching experience for the participants owing to its unconventional and challenging moot propositions and high standards of judging.

The discipline and transparency with which this competition is conducted has contributed in its previous successful chapters leading to an increased participation from year to year since its inception.

Event Date:

The event will be held on 29th  Feb– 01st March 2020.

Moot Problem based on Criminal and Constitutional Law:

 This year’s moot proposition aims at allowing the students to delve into the intersection of constitutional law and criminal law.

Venue:

GIL Campus, Panipat, Delhi NCR

Official Language: 

The official working language of the Moot Court is English.

Team Composition:

Each participating university/college/institute shall nominate only one team consisting of three student members.

PRIZES:

• Winning Team:
  Winner Trophy + Cash Prize of Rs. 31000/-
• Runner up Team Award:
  Runner up Trophy +  Cash Prize of Rs. 11000/-
• Teams qualifying for Semi-finals
  Each Team member shall be awarded with a trophy as a token of appreciation.
• Best Memorial Award
  2100/- with trophy
• Second Best Memorial Award
  1500/- with trophy
• Best Mooter (Male) Award
  2100/- with trophy
• Best Mooter (Female) Award
  2100/- with trophy
• Best Researcher Award
  2100/- with trophy

* All the Participants will get participation certificates post the Valedictory Ceremony.
