About NUALS

The National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS), Kochi, established in 2005 by the Kerala State Legislature, is a premier institution for legal education in India. About CCI

The Competition Commission of India (CCI), constituted under the Competition Act, 2002, is the statutory authority responsible for safeguarding competition and regulating market practices in India. It addresses anti‑competitive practices such as cartels, abuse of dominant position, and collusive tendering, while scrutinising mergers and acquisitions. Through its regulatory, investigative, and advocacy functions, the CCI promotes market efficiency, innovation, fair pricing, and consumer welfare.

About CCLP

The Centre for Competition Law and Policy (CCLP) at NUALS is dedicated to research and study in competition law and policy. It promotes efficient resource allocation, addresses abuse of market power, and facilitates interdisciplinary research. The Centre connects regulators, academicians, practitioners, industry experts, and students, while also undertaking capacity‑building initiatives in the field of competition law.

Timeline of Events

  • 4th September 2026: Release of Moot Proposition & Commencement of Registration
  • 15th September 2026: Last Date for Seeking Clarifications
  • 17th September 2026: Release of Clarifications
  • 20th September 2026: Last Date for Registration
  • 25th September 2026: Memorial Submission Deadline
  • 3rd–4th October 2026: Preliminary & Quarter‑Final Rounds (Virtual)
  • 10th–11th October 2026: Semi‑Finals, Finals & Valedictory Ceremony (On‑Campus)

Registration Details

  • Stage I Registration Fee: ₹2,500 per team (inclusive of tax)
  • Stage II Registration Fee: ₹4,500 per team (inclusive of tax)
  • Registration is complete only upon submission of the Registration Form and payment of the fee.
  • Teams qualifying for the Semi‑Final Rounds will receive Stage II registration details via email.
  • Fees are non‑refundable unless otherwise decided by the Organising Committee.
