Theme: “Reproductive Rights & Bodily Autonomy” Organised by the Centre for Family Law (CFL), National Law University, Jodhpur

About the Centre for Family Law (CFL)

Founded in 2023 under the guidance of Ms. Preeti Badola (Executive Director), the CFL promotes informed dialogue on family law issues extending beyond traditional norms into gender equality, civil rights, and progressive perspectives.

Key initiative: The Family Law Chronicle (CFL Blog) – a platform for analytical and interdisciplinary submissions on contemporary family law issues.

Competition Theme

“Reproductive Rights & Bodily Autonomy” The competition explores intersections of family law with reproductive choice, bodily integrity, and evolving family structures. It encourages participants to critically examine how law regulates intimate spheres of life and interacts with issues of inequality, healthcare access, and cultural contexts.

• Surrogacy and Assisted Reproductive Technology Act, 2021

• Call for Papers & Registration: 27 July 2026
• Last Date of Registration: 24 August 2026
• Submission Deadline: 10 September 2026
• Review Stages I & II: September 2026
• Review Stage III: First week of October 2026
• Results: Mid-October 2026

Registration Fees

• Single Author: ₹300
• Co-Authored (max. 2 authors): ₹600

Submission Guidelines

• Format: Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx)
• Word Limit: 2,500–3,000 words
• Co-authorship: Maximum 2 authors
• Plagiarism: ≤15% similarity index (mandatory screening)
• Citation Style: OSCOLA; hyperlinks preferred, footnotes allowed
• Formatting: Garamond, 12 pt (main text), 10 pt (footnotes), justified, 1.5 line spacing
• Anonymity: No author-identifying details in manuscript
• Originality: No prior publication; accuracy of facts and references rests with authors

Review Process

• Stage I: Technical Screening (plagiarism, formatting, anonymity)
• Stage II: Editorial Review by CFL Blog Board (originality, research quality, coherence)
• Stage III: Faculty Review & Final Adjudication (family law, constitutional law, gender studies experts)

Top 10 submissions will be shortlisted for final evaluation.

Prize Scheme

• 1st Position: ₹5,000 + Certificate + Publication in CFL Blog + CaseMine AI Pro subscription
