About the Centre for Women & Child Rights (CWCR):

Founded in September 2020, CWCR promotes interdisciplinary research and advocacy in gender rights, reproductive justice, and social inclusion.

• Courses on Gender Jurisprudence in India (2022) and Child Rights in India (2023).

About V. V. Giri National Labour Institute:

An autonomous institute under the Ministry of Labour, Government of India, dedicated to labour research and training. It engages civil servants, trade unions, and public sector managers in seminars, workshops, and policy discussions on labour issues.

About the Programme:

This 14‑day programme under March for Women 2.0 explores the intersection of gender justice and economic freedom. It bridges feminist economic theory with lived realities, focusing on systemic challenges faced by women in diverse labour sectors.

Key Themes:

• Feminist economic thought from industrialisation to neoliberal frameworks.
• Barriers to women’s participation in entrepreneurship, agriculture, informal and digital economies, and unpaid care work.
• Intersectionality: gender with caste, class, and sexual orientation.
• Policy approaches: gender budgeting, labour safeguards, rights‑based frameworks.

Programme Details:

• Duration: 14 days (28 hours total).
• Dates: 10th – 26th February 2026.
• Timings: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM daily (except 15th, 16th, 22nd Feb).
• Platform: Cisco WebEx.
• Fee: ₹1000 (External participants), ₹500 (GNLU participants).
