About NUSRL Law Review:

The NLR is established to foster critical legal scholarship, facilitate scholarly discourse, and advance legal research. Upholding the highest standards of academic integrity, editorial independence, and transparency, the journal adheres to the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Through a double-blind peer review process, NLR ensures rigorous academic standards, originality, and credibility in every published contribution.

Call for Papers:

The National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL), Ranchi proudly announces the launch of its flagship journal, the NUSRL Law Review (NLR). The inaugural issue (Volume 1, 2026) invites submissions from scholars, practitioners, and students across diverse fields of law and allied disciplines.

Themes for Submission:

While the Review welcomes contributions from all areas of law, preferred themes include:

  • Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Laws
  • Artificial Intelligence & Legal Regulation
  • Environmental Law & Climate Change Policy
  • Human Rights & Social Justice
  • Health Law & Post-COVID-19 Policy
  • Corporate Governance & Regulatory Compliance
  • International Trade & Consumer Laws
  • Criminal Law Reforms & Justice Systems
  • Intellectual Property Rights in the Digital Age
  • Gender Equality & Law
  • Migration & Refugee Laws
  • Legal Education & Policy Reforms

Categories of Submissions:

  • Research Papers – up to 10,000 words
  • Long Articles – above 5,000 words
  • Short Articles / Essays – 3,000–5,000 words
  • Book Reviews / Case or Legislative Comments – 1,500–3,000 words

(Word limits are exclusive of footnotes and indicative only. Speaking footnotes are discouraged.)

Submission Guidelines:

  • Submissions must be critically evaluative, not merely descriptive.
  • Format: Microsoft Word (.docx), A4 size, Times New Roman, font size 12, line spacing 0.5, justified alignment.
  • Footnotes: Times New Roman, size 10, line spacing 1.0, justified; citations must follow Bluebook 20th Edition.
  • Abstract: not more than 250 words + 5 keywords.
  • Plagiarism check via Turnitin (limit: 15%).
  • Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and anonymized.
  • Co-authorship: maximum two authors (flexible at editorial discretion).

Editorial Policy:

Submissions undergo a three-tier double-blind peer review:

  1. Preliminary Screening – compliance with guidelines & plagiarism check.
  2. Detailed Review – originality, coherence, structure, clarity, citations.
  3. Final Review – by Faculty Editor-in-Chief & Student Editor-in-Chief.

The Editorial Board reserves the right to reject manuscripts at any stage until final acceptance.
