The Centre for Intellectual Property Rights (CIPR) at the National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS), Kochi, invites submissions for the 7th Volume of the NUALS Intellectual Property Law Review (ISSN 2582‑4244).

The Centre for Intellectual Property Rights is committed to advancing IP awareness and fostering research in this dynamic field. Its initiatives include:

  • Interdisciplinary research and database creation in IP law
  • Organizing seminars, workshops, and conferences
  • Publishing the flagship journal NUALS IP Law Review
  • Running the blog The IP Site

About the Journal:

The NUALS IP Law Review is:

  • Peer‑reviewed, double‑blind, and open‑access
  • Focused on contemporary developments in intellectual property law
  • Designed to highlight overlooked areas and encourage innovative perspectives

The Advisory Board features leading academics and practitioners in IP law.

Categories of Submissions:

  • Articles (5000–7000 words): Comprehensive legal analysis with multiple perspectives and suggestions
  • Essays (3000–5000 words): Focused, critical, and original analysis of specific issues
  • Notes, Comments & Reviews (1000–3000 words): Succinct commentary on recent legal events or developments

(Word count excludes footnotes; longer submissions may be considered at the discretion of the editorial board.)

Submission Guidelines:

  • Abstract not exceeding 300 words
  • Work must be original and unpublished elsewhere
  • Author details collected separately; manuscripts must not contain names
  • Plagiarism check at first stage; plagiarised work will be rejected
  • Co‑authorship allowed (maximum two authors)

Formatting Requirements:

  • File format: .doc/.docx/.odt (PDFs not accepted)
  • Font: Times New Roman, size 12, line spacing 1.5
  • Footnotes: Times New Roman, size 10, single spacing
  • Citation style: Bluebook (21st edition)

How to Submit?

Submissions must be made via the official Google Form (link provided by CIPR).
No other mode of submission will be accepted.
