About NLUO

National Law University Odisha (NLUO), established under Act 4 of 2008 by the Odisha State Legislature, has emerged as one of India’s premier institutions of legal education. With a vision to advance teaching, research, and dissemination of legal knowledge, NLUO fosters socially relevant education, academic rigor, and holistic student growth. The University encourages research through specialized centres and student‑led societies, while also emphasizing leadership, creativity, and emotional intelligence.

About CPAJ

The Centre for Poverty & Access to Justice (CPAJ) is dedicated to improving access to justice for disadvantaged communities. It undertakes research, awareness programmes, policy advocacy, and collaborations with governmental and non‑governmental organizations to address barriers to justice. CPAJ’s mission is to strengthen legal institutions, promote rights awareness, and develop inclusive solutions for vulnerable populations.

Submissions are invited on contemporary issues relating to poverty, inequality, and access to justice. Suggested themes include:

  • Judicial Developments on Poverty and Justice

Categories of Submission

  • Articles: 900–1000 words
  • Case Comments: 750–900 words
  • Legislative/Policy Reviews: 800–900 words
  • Opinion/Commentary: 700–800 words

Formatting Guidelines

  • Font: Times New Roman, 12pt, 1.5 spacing, justified alignment
  • Headings: 14pt bold; Subheadings: 13pt bold/italic
  • Footnotes: 10pt, OSCOLA (4th Edition) citation style
  • Margins: 1 inch on all sides
  • Manuscripts in .doc/.docx format only

Submission Guidelines

  • No abstract required
  • Original, unpublished manuscripts only
  • Co‑authorship up to two authors permitted
  • Author details (name, affiliation, designation, email, contact number) on a separate cover page
  • Plagiarism limit: ≤10% (excluding citations)
  • Submissions through the official form
