About the School of Law:

Established in 2007 as the Faculty of Law, the School of Law, Mody University of Science and Technology offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes including:

  • B.A. LL.B.
  • B.A. LL.B. (Hons.)
  • B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.)
  • LL.M.
  • Ph.D.

The School admits over one hundred women students annually, reflecting its commitment to inclusive legal education. Beyond academics, it actively engages in extension and outreach activities across the Shekhawati Region, embedding social context into legal training through clinical education and problem-solving approaches.

In recognition of its contributions, the School received the Institutional Excellence Award (2016) from the Society of Indian Law Firms – Menon Institute of Legal Advocacy Training.


About the Journal:

The Journal of the Faculty of Law has been published for the past 15 years and is a peer-reviewed journal (ISSN: 2347-758X). It was also UGC-approved (Journal No. 62469, 2019).

The Journal serves as a scholarly platform for rigorous engagement with contemporary national and international legal developments. It welcomes contributions that:

  • Address emerging legal challenges
  • Explore evolving doctrines
  • Offer innovative perspectives on law and policy
  • Critically engage with institutional transformations and normative questions

Over the years, distinguished scholars and practitioners have contributed, strengthening legal scholarship at both national and international levels.


Themes for Submission:

The Journal adopts an inclusive and expansive approach to legal scholarship. Contributions are welcome from all areas of law, provided they are:

  • Contemporary
  • Relevant
  • Analytically rigorous

Submissions should critically engage with existing frameworks, explore emerging challenges, and propose innovative perspectives.


Categories of Submissions:

  • Research Papers: Up to 7,000 words
  • Long Articles: Above 4,000 words
  • Short Articles / Essays: 2,000–4,000 words
  • Book Reviews / Case or Legislative Comments: 1,000–2,000 words

Note: Word limits exclude footnotes. Speaking footnotes are discouraged. Flexibility in categories is allowed.


Submission Guidelines:

  • Format: Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx)
  • Co-authorship: Allowed up to two authors (except Book Reviews/Case Commentary)
  • Originality: Submissions must be original, free from grammatical and spelling errors
  • Manuscript Body: Times New Roman, font size 12, line spacing 1.5, justified
  • Footnotes: Times New Roman, font size 10, line spacing 1.5, justified
  • Citation Style: ILI citation format (mandatory)
  • Abstract: Not exceeding 250 words
  • Review: Peer-reviewed; reviewer decisions are final

AI Tools & Plagiarism Policy:

  • Basic grammar correction via AI tools (e.g., Grammarly, QuillBot) is permitted
  • Generative AI tools for language enhancement are strictly prohibited
  • All manuscripts will undergo AI-screening
  • Disclosure required if AI tools were used in writing/research
  • Acceptable similarity index: ≤10% (excluding references/quotations)

Printed Hard Copy:

Authors may avail a printed hard copy of the Journal by paying ₹1000 post-acceptance. Delivery may take 7–8 weeks after final submission acceptance.
