Haryana ADA Recruitment- Application Window Reopens:

The Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) has reopened the application process for Assistant District Attorney (ADA), Group‑B posts in the Prosecution Department of Haryana under Advertisement No. 18/2025. This follows judicial directions and subsequent modifications to the recruitment process. The ADA recruitment is a significant opportunity for law graduates aspiring to serve in the prosecutorial system of the state.

  • Application Window: May 25, 2026 – May 29, 2026 (till 5:00 PM)
  • Screening Test: July 5, 2026 (Sunday)
  • Subject Knowledge Test: August 9, 2026
  • Posts Advertised: 255 ADA positions (Group‑B)

Candidates who applied earlier need not reapply unless they wish to update or modify details in their application form. Fresh applications are invited from eligible candidates who did not apply during the original window in August–September 2025.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Age Limit: 21–42 years (relaxations as per government norms).
  • Educational Qualification:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized university.
    • Enrollment as an Advocate under the Advocates Act, 1961.
    • Knowledge of Hindi/Sanskrit up to Matriculation level.

Application Fee Structure:

  • PwBD (≥40% disability): NIL
  • OSC, DSC, BC‑A (Non‑Creamy Layer), BC‑B (Non‑Creamy Layer), ESM, EWS, Women (Haryana): ₹250
  • DESM (Haryana, vertical categories): ₹250
  • DESM (UR category): ₹1000
  • All other candidates: ₹1000
    Payment is accepted online via debit card, credit card, or net banking.

Recruitment Process:

The Hon’ble High Court has directed a three‑tier recruitment process:

  1. Screening Test (Qualifying): Objective‑type MCQs.
    • Minimum 50% questions from Law subjects.
    • Remaining questions from General Studies, Current Affairs, Reasoning, Haryana GK, etc.
    • Minimum cutoff: 25%.
    • Candidates up to 10 times the number of posts will be shortlisted for the next stage.
  2. Subject Knowledge Test: As per original advertisement pattern.
  3. Interview: Final stage of selection.

Screening Test Syllabus:

Law Subjects (50% weightage):

  • Civil Law: Code of Civil Procedure, Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (2023), Indian Contract Act, Indian Partnership Act, Sale of Goods Act, Hindu Law, Mohammadan Law, Customary Law.
  • Criminal Law: Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (2023), Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (2023), Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (2023).

General Studies & Aptitude (remaining 50%):

  • General Science
  • Current Events (National & International)
  • History of India
  • Indian & World Geography
  • Indian Culture, Polity, Economy
  • General Mental Ability & Reasoning
  • Basic Numeracy & Data Interpretation (Class X level)
  • Haryana GK (History, Geography, Polity, Economy, Culture)
