Call for Papers – Journal of Intellectual Property Studies (JIPS), NLU Jodhpur:

The Journal of Intellectual Property Studies (JIPS), a bi-annual, student-edited and peer-reviewed academic journal published by National Law University, Jodhpur, invites submissions for Volume X, Issue 2. Established in 2017, JIPS has emerged as a premier platform for scholarly discourse on contemporary developments in intellectual property law and related fields.

JIPS seeks to fill the gap in Indian legal academia by fostering dialogue among policymakers, practitioners, and scholars on pressing issues in intellectual property rights, competition law, and technology law.

Scope of Submissions:

The Journal welcomes original and unpublished manuscripts that align with its thematic focus. Accepted categories include:

  • Long Articles (6,000–10,000 words) – Comprehensive coverage with novel perspectives.
  • Essays (4,000–6,000 words) – Focused treatment of narrower topics.
  • Case Comments (up to 5,000 words) – Critical analysis of significant case laws.
  • Legislative Comments (1,000–3,000 words) – Examination of recent legislative developments.

Each submission must be accompanied by an abstract (250–300 words for articles; 150–200 words for case/legislative comments).

Editorial Policy:

  • Rigorous double-blind peer review process.
  • Strict adherence to The Bluebook (20th edition) citation style.
  • Speaking footnotes permitted.
  • Responsible use of Generative AI tools allowed within defined thresholds (≤20% permissible; >30% leads to rejection). Authors must disclose AI usage transparently.

Submission Guidelines:

  • Manuscripts must be submitted only via the official Google Form:
  • Email submissions will not be entertained.
  • Plagiarism or prior publication will result in outright rejection.
  • Authors may submit jointly (maximum two authors).

All published material will be licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0), ensuring free access and citation rights while maintaining author accountability.
