Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai – Recruitment Notification (April 2026):

Maharashtra National Law University (MNLU), Mumbai, established under Act VI of 2014 by the Government of Maharashtra, invites applications for contractual positions on an annual basis. The University seeks dynamic candidates committed to academic excellence and professional service.

Positions Available:

  1. Research Assistant (Law) – 01 Post
  2. Research Assistant (DPIIT IPR Chair) – 01 Post
  3. Secretarial Assistant (DPIIT IPR Chair) – 01 Post

Position Details:

1. Research Assistant (Law)

  • Qualifications: LL.B./LL.M./Ph.D. in Law from a recognized University
  • Experience: 0–3 years in academic/professional settings; demonstrable research and writing ability required
  • Skills: Analytical, communication, project management, proficiency in MS Office & Google tools
  • Age Limit: 25–40 years
  • Salary:
    • LL.B. – ₹47,000/month
    • LL.M. – ₹57,000/month
    • Ph.D. – ₹67,000/month

Responsibilities: Literature reviews, field/desk research, report preparation, event organization, and administrative duties.


2. Research Assistant (DPIIT IPR Chair)

  • Qualifications: LL.B./LL.M./Ph.D. in Law
  • Experience & Skills: Same as above; preference for candidates with field research experience
  • Age Limit: 25–40 years
  • Salary:
    • LL.B. – ₹47,000/month
    • LL.M. – ₹57,000/month
    • Ph.D. – ₹67,000/month

Responsibilities: Supporting DPIIT IPR Chair in research, case collation, reporting, and academic event organization.


3. Secretarial Assistant (DPIIT IPR Chair)

  • Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in any stream
  • Desirable Skills: English & Marathi proficiency, shorthand, typing speed (40 wpm), MS Office knowledge, relevant field experience
  • Age Limit: 21–40 years
  • Salary: ₹15,000/month

  • Appointments are purely temporary and contractual; no claim for permanency.

  • Candidates must attach self-attested copies of educational certificates, experience certificates, proof of birth, and other relevant documents.
