Engagement of Research Associates / Consultants | Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India:

The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI), established under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016, has invited applications for contractual engagement of Research Associates (RAs) and Consultants. This initiative aims to strengthen the Board’s research and regulatory functions by drawing upon qualified professionals in law and business management.

Position Details:

• Research Associate (Level II/III) – Discipline: Law – 03 positions
• Consultant (Level IV/V) – Discipline: Law / Business Management – 02 positions
  (The number of vacancies may increase or decrease depending on requirements.)

Tenure of Engagement:

• Initial contract: 1 year
• Extendable based on performance and organizational needs.
• Governed by the IBBI (Engagement of Research Associates and Consultants) Regulations, 2017, as amended.

Qualifications & Eligibility:

Law Discipline (Research Associate):

• Essential:
  • LL.B. or equivalent from a recognized university/institution.
  • Qualified to be enrolled as an Advocate under the Advocates Act, 1961.
• Desirable:
  • Consistently high academic performance.
  • LL.M. / Doctoral degree in Law or related field.
  • Degree/Diploma/Certification in Regulatory or Business Law/Economics.

Business Management Discipline (Consultant):

• Essential:
  • Postgraduate degree/diploma in Business Management, or
  • Membership of ICAI / ICMAI / ICSI.
• Desirable:
  • Multiple qualifications among the essential criteria.
  • Consistently high academic performance.
  • Doctoral degree in law, management, accounts, finance, or related area.
  • Degree/Diploma/Certification in Regulatory or Business Law/Economics.

Remuneration Structure:

Application Procedure:

• Mode: Online submission only via IBBI portal.
• Deadline: 15 June 2026.
• Requirements:
  • Upload supporting documents (DOB, qualifications, experience, etc.) in PDF format.
  • Indicate experience in NCLT/NCLAT/IBBI/IBC/Insolvency separately.
  • Provide both grades and equivalent percentages where applicable.
  • Only post‑qualification experience will be considered.
  • Incomplete or deficient applications will be rejected.
  • All communication will be through the candidate’s registered email ID.

Shortlisting:

• If applications exceed four times the number of vacancies, a scrutiny committee will shortlist candidates.
• Shortlisted candidates must provide self‑attested copies and produce originals during verification.
