A UNESCO Chair is a collaborative initiative led by a higher education or research institution in partnership with UNESCO to advance knowledge and practice in priority areas. Formalized through an agreement between UNESCO’s Director‑General and the head of the host institution, each Chair is directed by an academic Chairholder and supported by faculty, researchers, students, and partner organizations. Established within a university department or research unit, the Chair fosters interdisciplinary collaboration across institutions, NGOs, public and private sectors, and international agencies to drive innovation, policy, and global dialogue.
The International Conference on “Clean and Safe Sports,” organised under the UNESCO Chair for Legal Dimensions of Clean Sports at National Law University Delhi, aims to foster global dialogue and interdisciplinary research on integrity and safety in sports. Bringing together scholars, policymakers, athletes, administrators, ethicists, and international agencies, the conference will address pressing issues such as doping, neuro‑enhancement, governance, athlete welfare, and ethical challenges in modern sports, with selected peer‑reviewed papers published in an ISBN‑certified edited volume.
The International Conference on “Clean and Safe Sports,” organised under the UNESCO Chair for Legal Dimensions of Clean Sports at National Law University Delhi, seeks to foster global dialogue on integrity, fairness, and athlete welfare in modern sports. Addressing challenges such as doping, match‑fixing, abuse, harassment, neuro‑enhancement, and governance dilemmas, the conference will bring together scholars, policymakers, administrators, ethicists, and athletes to deliberate on ethical, legal, and institutional dimensions of sport. Its key objectives include promoting interdisciplinary research, analysing national and international frameworks, and generating sustainable policy insights, with selected peer‑reviewed papers published in an ISBN‑certified edited volume.
All accepted papers will be peer-reviewed. Selected high-quality papers will be published in an ISBN-certified edited book under the UNESCO Chair for Legal Dimensions of Clean Sports, National Law University.
Co-authorship is allowed subject to a maximum of 02 authors. All such authors and co-author(s) will have to mandatorily and separately register themselves by paying the requisite registration fees. At least one person amongst the author or co-authors has to be present for presenting the paper.
