About the Webinar:

Mar Gregorios College of Law (MGCL), Thiruvananthapuram, through its Centre for Human Rights, in collaboration with IQAC and the Consumer Advocacy Group (CAG), is hosting a National Webinar on Consumer Awareness on 9 December 2025.

This initiative focuses on empowering consumers by spreading awareness of their rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the role of the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA). Despite strong legal frameworks, many consumers remain unaware of their rights. This webinar aims to bridge that gap and promote the vision of “an informed consumer” who can effectively safeguard their interests.
