Born on 3 May 1963 in Hyderabad to Smt. Satyavati and Late Justice P. Kodanda Ramayya, he graduated with triple majors in Economics, Political Science, and Public Administration from Nizam College, Hyderabad, and pursued law at Delhi University’s Campus Law Centre in 1988. Enrolled as an Advocate the same year, he practiced before the High Court, Civil Courts, and Tribunals in Hyderabad before shifting practice to the Supreme Court, where he appeared in numerous cases including Constitution Bench matters. He also served as counsel for the Justice Chinnappa Reddy Commission and was a member of the Supreme Court Legal Aid Committee.
Designated as a Senior Advocate in 2008, he specialized in constitutional, administrative, environmental, and regulatory laws, and acted as amicus curiae in several landmark cases. In 2014, he was appointed Additional Solicitor General of India, assisting in major cases such as the NJAC matter, and represented India internationally before ITLOS (Hamburg) and PCA (The Hague).
He contributed significantly to law reform through committees on arbitration, mediation, tribunal restructuring, and corporate social responsibility, and mediated the BCCI case. He also served on governing bodies of National Law Universities and other institutions.
On 31 August 2021, he was elevated directly from the Bar to the Supreme Court of India.
The Chambers of Hon’ble Mr. Justice P.S. Narasimha, Judge, Supreme Court of India is inviting internship applications from interested law students for the months of October, 2026 to December, 2026 on a rolling basis. Interested candidates may apply for one-month internships for any of these months using the Google Form link given below. Please note that applications received outside of the Google Form will not be considered.
Eligibility:
3rd, 4th, or 5th-year students of 5-year integrated law programmes; 2nd or 3rd-year students of 3-year law programmes; LL.M. students.
Deadline:
Applications must necessarily be submitted by the 10th day of the month prior to the internship month (e.g., an application for interning in October, 2026 must be submitted on/before 10th September, 2026).

Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for a brief telephonic interview. Final selected candidates will be required to be present in-person in New Delhi for the duration of their internship. Due to paucity of time, we will not be able to contact unsuccessful candidates. Successful candidates will receive a confirmation email by the 20th of the month prior to the month of internship.
