About the Organizers:

Maharashtra National Law University, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (MNLU-CS) is pleased to announce the Call for Papers for Volume IV (2025) of its flagship journal, the MNLU-CS Student Law Review (SLR).

The SLR is a student-run, double-blind, peer-reviewed journal that provides a platform for critical engagement with contemporary legal issues. It is designed to encourage original, interdisciplinary scholarship and to foster a culture of academic debate and innovation among law students, researchers, and young professionals.

About the Journal:

  • Annual Publication: Published once a year in both print and open-access online formats.
  • Editorial Independence: Managed by the Student Editorial Board under faculty guidance.
  • Scope: Covers national and international legal issues, with an emphasis on emerging areas of law and policy.
  • Objective: To bridge the gap between academic research and practical legal discourse, making scholarship accessible to both the legal community and the wider public.

Categories of Submissions:

The Editorial Board invites contributions in the following categories:

Each submission must include:

  • Abstract (max. 250 words)
  • Five Keywords

Theme:

The journal welcomes submissions on any contemporary legal issue of national or international relevance. Interdisciplinary approaches that connect law with economics, technology, sociology, or political science are especially encouraged.

Timeline:

  • Call for Papers Released: October 9, 2025
  • Submission Deadline: December 31, 2025
  • Stage I Review (Editorial Screening): By February 15, 2026
  • Stage II Review (Double-Blind Peer Review): By April 15, 2026
  • Final Publication: April 30, 2026

Submission Guidelines:

  • Originality: Submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.
  • Co-authorship: Maximum of two authors permitted.
  • Citation Style: Bluebook, 20th Edition + MNLU-CS Style Sheet.
  • Formatting: Times New Roman, 12 pt, 1.5 spacing.
  • Plagiarism Policy: Strict adherence — more than 10% similarity or 10% AI-generated content will result in rejection.
  • Review Process: Rigorous double-blind peer review to ensure academic integrity.

Submission Process:

  • Submissions must be made exclusively via the official Google Form.
  • Only .docx files will be accepted.
