Call for Papers – CASIHR Journal on Human Rights Practice:

Volume 10, Issue 1 | Bi‑Annual, Peer‑Reviewed Journal (ISSN: 2581‑4834)

The Centre for Advanced Studies in Human Rights (CASIHR) at Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL), Punjab invites submissions for the upcoming issue of the CASIHR Journal on Human Rights Practice (JHRP).

About the University:

RGNUL, established in 2006 by a legislative act of the State of Punjab, is a premier National Law University committed to excellence in legal education and research. It aims to prepare competent lawyers, inquisitive researchers, conscientious judicial officers, and socially responsible citizens engaged in nation‑building.

About the Journal:

The CASIHR Journal on Human Rights Practice is a bi‑annual, peer‑reviewed, referred journal dedicated to expanding the horizons of Human Rights Law and Practice. It provides a platform for academicians, professionals, and students to contribute through long articles, short articles, essays, case comments, and book reviews.

Call for Papers:

CASIHR invites contributions for Volume 10, Issue 1. This issue is not theme‑specific; authors are free to write on any topic relevant to Human Rights. Manuscripts will undergo a double‑blind peer review process by experts, with final selection based on reviewers’ recommendations.

Focal Areas:

  • Any subject within the ambit of Human Rights
  • Preference for empirical research work

Periodicity:

  • January–June Issue
  • July–December Issue

Categories of Submission:

  • Long Articles: 7000–8000 words
  • Short Articles/Essays: 5000–6000 words
  • Case Comments: 3000–4000 words
  • Book Reviews: 1500–2500 words
  • Abstracts: 250–300 words
    (Word limits exclusive of footnotes)

Submission Guidelines:

  • Abstract not exceeding 300 words must accompany all submissions
  • Manuscripts must be in English, submitted via email to hrjcasihr@rgnul.ac.in
  • Format: Times New Roman, font size 12, line spacing 1.5; footnotes in Times New Roman, font size 10, single spacing
  • Citations must follow Bluebook (21st edition) style
  • Individual student submissions will not be accepted; students must submit in co‑authorship with a professor
  • Co‑authorship allowed up to two authors
  • Plagiarism must be less than 10% (UGC norms)
  • Submissions only in .doc/.docx format
  • Cover letter must include: Author(s) name, designation, institution details, contact information, and undertaking of originality with copyright transfer
