Call for Papers – IJCL General Issue, Volume XIV (2026):

The Indian Journal of Constitutional Law (IJCL), published by NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad, invites submissions for its General Issue). Over the past decade, IJCL has become a distinguished platform for constitutional scholarship, featuring contributions from professors, researchers, and students. Each submission undergoes rigorous internal scrutiny and peer review to ensure academic excellence.

Categories of Contributions:

  1. Articles (4,500 – 7,000 words) – sustained doctrinal/theoretical analysis with comprehensive engagement with literature.
  2. Essays (3,000 – 4,500 words) – concise, innovative, challenging existing paradigms.
  3. Case & Legislative Comments (1,500 – 3,000 words) – analysis of judicial pronouncements or legislation, with comparative perspectives encouraged.
  4. Other Submissions (1,500 – 3,000 words) – book reviews, responses, or notes on practical experiences in constitutional litigation, judgment deliberation, or legislative drafting.

Submission Guidelines:

  • Citation Format: OSCOLA (4th Edition).
  • Formatting: Times New Roman, size 12, 1.5 spacing (body); size 10, single spacing (footnotes).
  • Abstract: ≤ 350 words.
  • Joint Contributions: Allowed for up to two authors.
  • Author Details: Must be submitted separately (designation, affiliation, contact info).

Editorial & Ethical Standards:

IJCL is finalising its Editorial Policy, Copyright Policy, Publication Ethics, Plagiarism Policy, and Author Indemnity requirements. Authors must ensure compliance before submission.

Submission Process:

  • Submit three separate documents: manuscript, abstract, and author details.
  • Format: Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx).
