Call for Papers:

Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU), Raipur invites scholarly contributions for the upcoming issue of its flagship publication, the Journal of Law and Social Sciences (JLSS). The journal seeks to foster rigorous academic dialogue by publishing original research that engages with contemporary legal and socio‑political issues. This initiative reflects HNLU’s commitment to advancing interdisciplinary scholarship and providing a platform for academicians, practitioners, and researchers to contribute to the evolving discourse in law and society.

Categories of Submission:

The journal welcomes manuscripts across diverse formats, ensuring inclusivity of perspectives and styles of academic writing:

• Research Articles: 5,000–10,000 words, offering comprehensive analysis of legal or socio‑political themes.
• Essays: 3,000–5,000 words, focusing on specific contemporary issues.
• Case Notes & Legislative Commentaries: 2,000–7,000 words, critically examining judicial decisions or legislative developments.

Submission Guidelines:

To maintain academic integrity and uniformity, contributors must adhere to the following requirements:

• Abstract: Not exceeding 250 words.
• Keywords: Minimum of 7–10.
• Authorship: One manuscript per author; co‑authorship permitted up to two authors.
• Formatting: Times New Roman font (12 pt for text, 10 pt for footnotes), 1.5 line spacing in text, single spacing in footnotes.
• Citation Style: Latest edition of The Bluebook.
• File Format: Word document (.doc/.docx), named as <Author Name>_<Title of Submission>.

Submission Procedure:

Manuscripts must be submitted through the official Google Form provided by HNLU. The final deadline is 5 July 2026.

Authors are advised to ensure originality, as plagiarism or copyright violations will result in rejection.

Review & Publication Policy:

All submissions undergo a double‑blind peer review process to ensure impartiality and academic rigor. Authors grant exclusive copyright to HNLU upon submission. Withdrawal requests are entertained only prior to acceptance; post‑acceptance withdrawals will not be considered.
