Maharashtra Legal Rights Consortium, NLRC-WICCI (2026–27):

The National Legal Rights Consortium (NLRC), under the aegis of the Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WICCI), invites applications for membership in the Maharashtra Legal Rights Consortium for the term 2026–27.

This is a women-only, hybrid opportunity designed to empower female law students in Maharashtra to actively advocate for rights, engage in legal reform, and contribute to community outreach.


About NLRC-WICCI:

  • WICCI is India’s premier national business chamber for women, envisioning global impact for women entrepreneurs, professionals, and leaders.
  • NLRC represents the legal rights vertical, working to promote justice, awareness, and access to legal assistance.

Consortium Objectives:

Members will collaborate to:

  • Advocate for Legal Rights – Participate in reform initiatives and protect rights at state level.
  • Raise Awareness – Educate the public about their rights and empower communities.
  • Provide Legal Assistance – Support individuals through pro bono services and legal aid networks.
  • Engage with Legislators – Collaborate with lawmakers and agencies to influence policy.
  • Monitor & Report – Track violations of rights and report instances of injustice.

Eligibility:

  • Women law students enrolled in BCI-recognized institutions.
  • Must be a resident of Maharashtra or studying in a Maharashtra-based institution.
  • Prior experience in internships with law firms, organizations, or advocates.
  • Skills in social media, public relations, or content creation preferred.
  • Proficiency in design tools like Adobe, Canva is an added advantage.

Role of Members:

  • Collaborate with the President and Vice President to shape strategic vision.
  • Contribute ideas, expertise, and perspectives to strengthen the consortium.
  • Lead community education and outreach programs.
  • Develop policy recommendations and partnership proposals.
  • Represent the consortium in engagements with government, industry, and society.

Tenure & Deadline:

  • Tenure: 1 Year (Hybrid Mode)
  • Deadline to Apply: March 25, 2026

Perks:

  • Certificate awarded upon successful completion of the one-year tenure.
