Call for Blog Submissions
Family Law Chronicle – Centre for Family Law, NLU Jodhpur
The Centre for Family Law at National Law University, Jodhpur invites submissions for its Family Law Chronicle Blog. The platform seeks to encourage critical engagement with contemporary issues in family law and welcomes contributions from students, academicians, researchers, and practitioners.
Mode of Submission
- Manuscripts are accepted on a rolling basis.
- Submissions must be sent in Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) format via email to: famlawcentre@nlujodhpur.ac.in.
- Subject line: “Submission to CFL Blog | Title of the Submission”.
- The body of the email must include a two-line biography of the author(s) and institutional affiliation (if applicable).
- Receipt of submissions will be acknowledged within 48 hours.
- Each manuscript undergoes preliminary editorial review before acceptance, rejection, or request for revision.
Submission Guidelines
- The Blog accepts original submissions on topical issues in Family Law.
- Purely descriptive or uncritical pieces will not be considered.
- Word limit: 1,000–1,500 words (flexible in appropriate cases).
- Co-authorship: Maximum of two authors permitted.
- Manuscripts must be written in English and submitted in Word format.
- Authors are encouraged to maintain anonymity in the manuscript to ensure impartial review.
- Submissions are accepted throughout the year.
Formatting and Citation Guidelines
- Font: Garamond
- Font Size: 12 (Main Text), 10 (Endnotes)
- Line Spacing: 1.5 (Main Text), 1.0 (Endnotes)
- Alignment: Justified
- Online references must be hyperlinked within the text.
- Where hyperlinks are not possible, endnotes may be used, conforming to the Bluebook Citation Method.
- Speaking endnotes are not permitted.
- Verbatim quotations must be enclosed in double quotation marks and italicised.
Originality and Author Declaration
- Submissions must be original and unpublished.
- Authors are responsible for accuracy of facts, authorities, and opinions.
- Plagiarism limit: 15% maximum similarity.
- Simultaneous submission to another publication must be disclosed in the covering email.
Editorial Policy
- Each submission is reviewed by one or more members of the Editorial Board.
- The Board reserves discretion to accept, reject, or request revisions.
- Editorial decisions are final.
- Receipt of submissions is ordinarily acknowledged within 48 hours.
Copyright Policy
- Copyright in all published works vests with the Centre for Family Law (CFL).
- Blog posts may be cross-published elsewhere, provided due credit is given and it is expressly stated that the work was “first published on the CFL Blog, National Law University, Jodhpur.”
