About the Internship Programme:

The DIAC internship programme is designed to provide the next generation of legal professionals with a structured and practical introduction to the field of arbitration and dispute resolution. The programme offers interns valuable, first-hand exposure to the functioning of a leading arbitral institution and insight into the administration and management of arbitration proceedings under the DIAC Rules.

Interns gain meaningful experience in areas such as research, case management, and institutional processes. They are encouraged to develop strong analytical and drafting skills, observe procedural workflows, and contribute to projects relating to institutional development, policy and capacity building.

The internship also aims to enhance critical thinking, attention to detail, and professional ethics—skills essential for success in the evolving field of alternate dispute resolution.

Duration:

Maximum period of 4 weeks which can be extended to 8 weeks.

4 weeks starting from the first week of every month.

Eligibility:

Applicant should be in their 3rd year of study (or higher) of a 5-year law program or in his/her 2nd year of study (or higher) of a 3-year law program or, Law student pursuing LLM/PhD.

Application Timeline:

Applications must be submitted at least one month prior to the commencement of the desired internship period. For instance, applications for the month of the December internship batch must be received on or before 1st November.
