Call for Blog Submissions – Synthesis, STL’s Law Review Blog

The Society for Technology and Law (STL) at the National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam (NLUJA) invites submissions for Synthesis, its premier law review blog. Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis, offering scholars, professionals, and students a dynamic platform to engage with contemporary issues at the intersection of law and technology.

About NLUJA, Assam

Established under the NLUJA Act, 2009 (Act No. XXV of 2009), NLUJA is the fourteenth National Law University in India. Located in Guwahati, the University commenced operations in 2011 and is spread across 50 acres at Amingaon on the north bank of the Brahmaputra River. With dedicated research centres, NLUJA advances socio‑legal scholarship, particularly addressing issues relevant to the North‑East region.

About the Society for Technology and Law

The STL is committed to fostering academic excellence in the rapidly evolving field of technology law. It promotes informed discourse and intellectual exchange on the legal implications of emerging technologies, ensuring interdisciplinary engagement across disciplines.

About Synthesis

Synthesis is a premier platform for scholarly dialogue on law and technology. It welcomes contributions on diverse themes, including but not limited to:

  • Cybersecurity and Privacy Law
  • Artificial Intelligence and Ethics
  • Blockchain and Legal Implications
  • E‑Governance and Digital Rights
  • Data Protection and Regulatory Compliance
  • Telecommunications Law in the Digital Age
  • Intellectual Property and Emerging Technologies
  • Internet of Things (IoT) and Legal Challenges
  • Smart Contracts and Governance
  • Legal Challenges in Space and Technology Exploration

Submission Guidelines

  • Eligibility: Open to professionals, academicians, and students (UG, PG, PhD) across disciplines.
  • Co‑authorship: Permitted, maximum of two authors.
  • Originality: Similarity index capped at 15% (plagiarism) and 10% (AI‑generated content).
  • Length: Maximum 1,800 words (excluding endnotes).
  • Formatting: Title in Garamond, size 14, bold, small caps; body in Garamond, size 12, 1.5 spacing.
  • Citations: Hyperlinks preferred; endnotes allowed in uniform citation style. Speaking footnotes/endnotes not permitted.
  • Format: Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) with completed submission form.
  • Supplementary: Abstract (80–100 words) and 4–5 keywords required.

Evaluation Criteria

Submissions will be assessed on relevance, content quality, language proficiency, and originality, with preference for underexplored perspectives.
