About the Organizer

The Debate and Parliamentary Affairs Committee of T.S. Mishra Law School, T.S. Mishra University, Lucknow is hosting the National Youth Parliament 2026, a premier academic initiative designed to foster leadership, constitutional values, and structured deliberation among students.

About the Event

The National Youth Parliament 2026 is a national‑level parliamentary simulation that immerses participants in the practices of parliamentary democracy. Students will assume designated roles, research assigned subjects, prepare arguments, deliver speeches, and engage in debate and rebuttal within the framework of parliamentary procedure.

Theme

“Uniform Civil Code in Bharat (U.C.C.)”

Objectives

  • Develop understanding of parliamentary democracy and legislative institutions.
  • Familiarise participants with parliamentary practices, procedures, conventions, and terminology.
  • Encourage research‑based engagement with contemporary public issues.
  • Strengthen skills in constructing, presenting, and defending reasoned arguments.
  • Cultivate discipline, tolerance, active listening, and respect for diverse viewpoints.
  • Enhance public speaking, communication, advocacy, leadership, and teamwork.
  • Promote constitutional values and democratic responsibilities.
  • Connect public deliberation with policy‑making and responsible citizenship.

Participant Experience

  • Roles such as Cabinet Ministers, Opposition Leaders, and Members of Parliament will be allotted through an automated system.
  • Participants will research and deliver a three‑minute address on the Uniform Civil Code Bill.
  • Debate and rebuttal participation is mandatory.
  • Speeches may be delivered in Hindi or English.

Eligibility

  • School Students: Classes XI–XII.
  • Undergraduate Students: All streams.
  • Postgraduate Students: All streams.
  • Ph.D. Research Scholars: All streams.
  • Students from colleges, universities, and research institutes across India are eligible.
  • Multiple delegates may register from the same institution.

Prizes and Recognition

  • Best Parliamentarian: ₹5,000 + Trophy + Certificate of Excellence
  • Best Speaker: ₹2,500 + Trophy + Certificate of Excellence
  • Best Emerging Parliamentarian: ₹1,500 + Medal + Certificate of Excellence
  • Best Role Enactment: ₹1,100 + Medal + Certificate of Excellence
  • Participation: E‑Certificates for all participants (issued in December 2026)

  • School students (up to Class XII): ₹499
  • Undergraduate students (T.S. Mishra University): ₹799
  • Postgraduate students & research scholars (T.S. Mishra University): ₹899
  • Undergraduate students (other institutions): ₹999
  • Postgraduate students & research scholars (other institutions): ₹1,199 Note: Registration fee is non‑refundable.
