About CFRGS

The Centre for Financial & Regulatory Governance Studies (CFRGS) was established at WBNUJS in 2015 to undertake interdisciplinary research addressing contemporary financial, regulatory, and public policy challenges. It brings together academics, practitioners, and students to examine issues shaping India’s regulatory landscape.

About the Conference

India’s labour law framework is undergoing a historic transformation with the consolidation of 29 central labour legislations into four comprehensive Labour Codes.

Code Shift: A National Conclave on Navigating the Labour Codes is a two‑day national platform convening judges, senior advocates, regulators, labour commissioners, corporate leaders, tax professionals, academicians, and industry experts. The conclave will deliberate on legal, regulatory, and practical challenges surrounding the implementation of these Codes, aligned with the national vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.

Selected research contributions and deliberations will be consolidated into a White Paper serving as a reference for legislators, regulators, and industry stakeholders.
