About Siddhartha Law College, Dehradun:

Established in 2009 under the auspices of the Siddhartha Group of Institutions (SGI) and managed by the Siddhartha Educational Society (Regd. No. 1363/2002-2003), Siddhartha Law College has emerged as a significant institution in the field of legal education. Guided by Justice (Retd.) V.K. Maheshwari as Director and under the leadership of Mr. Durga Prasad Verma, the college is affiliated to Veer Madho Singh Bhandari Uttarakhand Technological University and approved by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi.

About the Uttarakhand State Commission for Protection of Child Rights:

The Uttarakhand SCPCR was established under Section 17 of the Child Rights Protection Act, 2005, through State Government Notification dated 10 May 2011. Its primary objective is to safeguard child rights in the state, with a mandate covering education, health, child development, and child labour. The Commission plays a vital role in advising and monitoring child rights protection in alignment with the Directive Principles of State Policy (Articles 36–51) of the Constitution of India.

Theme: “Jurisprudence in the Age of AI: Integrating Constitutional Values, Corporate Governance, and Ethical Criminal Justice”

This conference seeks to explore the profound impact of artificial intelligence on Indian jurisprudence, with emphasis on harmonising AI with constitutional principles such as equality (Article 14), freedom of speech (Article 19), and the right to life, liberty, and privacy (Article 21, Justice K.S. Puttaswamy case).

Key deliberations include:

  • Risks of algorithmic bias in welfare schemes, surveillance, and governance
  • The role of constitutional morality in AI design
  • Corporate responsibilities under the Companies Act, 2013, SEBI regulations, and emerging AI ethics standards
  • Ethical limits of predictive technologies in child protection and criminal justice

Original and unpublished papers in English are invited from academicians, research scholars, legal practitioners, and law students.

Abstract Guidelines:

  • Maximum 300 words, Times New Roman, 12 font, 1.5 spacing
  • Include title, author details (name, designation, institution, contact number, email, address)
  • Indicate corresponding author in case of multiple authors
  • Abstracts will be peer-reviewed for originality, rigour, and relevance
