Call for Applications: Research Associate (Public International Law / International Criminal Law)

National Law University Delhi (NLUD) invites applications for the position of Full-time Research Associate on a contractual basis for a project on Reparations and Victim-Centred Justice under International Criminal Law.

This project is funded under the Research Endeavour Grant (N-REG) 2025-26 of NLUD and focuses on evaluating reparations jurisprudence within international criminal law.


Position Details:

  • Title: Research Associate
  • Area: Public International Law / International Criminal Law
  • Nature of Appointment: Contractual
  • Duration: Initially 6 months (extendable based on performance and project requirements)
  • Remuneration: ₹35,000/- per month (consolidated, funded under N-REG)
  • Number of Positions: One

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in research work in consultation with the Project Director.
  • Contribute to the project on reparations and victim-centred justice under international criminal law.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Law graduate (LL.B. or B.A.LL.B.) and LL.M. (appearing/completed) from a recognized Indian or foreign university with a good academic record.
  • At least one peer-reviewed publication in a quality journal.
  • Prior experience in international law-related research projects desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of substantive and procedural international law.
  • Proficiency in English and MS Office applications.

  • Deadline: 12th March 2026 (Thursday), 5:00 p.m.
  • Interviews: Online (only shortlisted candidates will be contacted).
  • Notification: If you do not hear from NLUD within 2 weeks after the deadline, assume your application has not been considered.
