About the University:

Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Law University (DBRANLU), Sonepat, established in 2012 by the Government of Haryana, is the 23rd National Law University in India. The first batch of its five‑year integrated B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) program commenced in 2019. The University also offers LL.M. and Ph.D. programs.

DBRANLU is committed to imparting advanced legal education, practical skills, and interdisciplinary understanding to build a just and equitable society. Its students have consistently excelled in moot courts, judgment writing, client counselling, and allied competitions.


About NHRC:

The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), established under the Protection of Human Rights Act, 1993, is India’s apex institution for safeguarding human rights. It investigates violations, monitors institutions, and spreads awareness nationally and internationally. Its Chairperson is traditionally a former Chief Justice of India, making it a unique and globally respected body.


About the Moot Court Society:

The Moot Court Society at DBRANLU fosters advocacy, research, and courtroom excellence. It organizes workshops, seminars, intra‑moots, and national competitions, including the annual Neophyte Competition for first‑year students. Over the years, it has built a strong mooting culture and carved a niche in the legal fraternity.

  • Feb 25, 2026 – Last date for final registration & fee payment; last date for seeking clarifications
  • Feb 28, 2026 – Deadline for submission of soft copies of memorials
  • Mar 4, 2026 (4:00 PM IST) – Announcement of teams qualifying for oral rounds
  • Mar 13, 2026 – Inaugural session, registration, draw of lots
  • Mar 14, 2026 – Preliminary & Quarter‑Final rounds
  • Mar 15, 2026 – Semi‑Finals, Finals & Valedictory Ceremony
