About the Seminar:

The seminar explores the delicate balance between freedom of expression and democratic accountability in constitutional democracies. While freedom of the press is a cornerstone of democracy, its responsible exercise is essential to uphold constitutional values such as justice, equality, rule of law, and public order.

In today’s digital age, challenges such as disinformation, trial by media, commercialization of news, and ethical concerns in journalism demand critical reflection. This seminar invites participants to deliberate on these pressing issues and contribute to strengthening democratic governance.

Important Dates:

  • Abstract Submission: 16th February, 2026
  • Confirmation of Acceptance: 23rd February, 2026
  • Full Paper Submission with Registration Fee: 18th March, 2026

Submission Guidelines:

  • Abstract: 250–300 words with author details (email, contact number, postal address).
  • Full Paper: 3000–5000 words (including footnotes).
  • Co-authorship: Allowed only for faculty/professionals (maximum one co-author). Not permitted for students/research scholars.
  • Mentioning the chosen sub-theme is mandatory.
  • Formatting: Times New Roman, font size 12, A4 size, 1.5″ margin, 1.5 line spacing, MS Word.
  • Citation Style: ILI pattern.
  • Certificates will be awarded only for paper presentations.
  • Best Paper will be published in the AIL Journal.

Registration Fee:

  • Faculty & Professionals: ₹1000
  • Research Scholars & Students: ₹700
