The Centre for Advanced Research on Corporate and Insolvency Laws (CARCIL) at CNLU is a Centre of Excellence dedicated to promoting the highest standards of research in corporate law, governance, insolvency, and allied areas in India. It serves as a platform for undertaking research projects, organizing academic workshops, lectures, and conferences, and conducting faculty development programmes, all aimed at advancing scholarship and practice in these fields. CARCIL is committed to fostering an environment that nurtures intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and innovative ideas, thereby contributing to the progressive development of corporate and insolvency laws in the country.
After the resounding success of four previous editions focusing on antitrust law, the Centre for Advanced Research on Corporate and Insolvency Laws (CARCIL) at Chanakya National Law University (CNLU), Patna is delighted to announce the 5th CNLU–CARCIL National IBC Moot Court Competition, 2026. This year, the competition shifts its focus to the dynamic and evolving field of insolvency laws, offering participants an opportunity to engage with pressing issues in corporate restructuring and resolution.
The 2026 moot problem explores the balance between the commercial wisdom of the Committee of Creditors (CoC) and the need for timeliness and transparency in resolution plan approvals, while also addressing the standard of proof for fraudulent transactions in summary tribunal proceedings.
