About the Fellowship:

  • Organizer: National Law University Delhi (NLUD) under the UNICEF Chair on Child Rights.
  • Duration: One-year flagship program.
  • Focus: Research, advocacy, and litigation on child rights, particularly access to justice for children in need of care and protection, and those in conflict with the law.
  • Objective: To encourage young academics and lawyers to build careers in child rights through mentorship, resources, and practical exposure.

Positions Available:

1. Supervisor – Jabalpur

  • Role: Oversee litigation fellows, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure effective implementation of child rights advocacy.
  • Responsibilities:
    • Supervising fellows in casework and research.
    • Liaising with courts, legal aid authorities, and child protection institutions.
    • Monitoring progress and reporting outcomes.
  • Eligibility:
    • Law graduates/postgraduates with prior experience in child rights or litigation.
    • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Location: Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh.

2. Litigation Fellows – Jabalpur & Ujjain:

  • Role: Directly engage in litigation and advocacy for children in conflict with the law and those requiring care and protection.
  • Responsibilities:
    • Assisting in case preparation, drafting, and court representation.
    • Conducting legal research and documentation.
    • Supporting child protection mechanisms and legal aid services.
  • Eligibility:
    • Recent law graduates passionate about child rights.
    • Demonstrated interest in litigation and advocacy.
  • Locations: Jabalpur and Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh.
