About the Symposium:

Soundarya College of Law is hosting a Two-Day National Symposium to deliberate on the evolving landscape of labour regulation in India, with a focus on:

  • The Four Labour Codes:
    • Code on Wages, 2019
    • Industrial Relations Code, 2020
    • Code on Social Security, 2020
    • Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020
  • Gender Equity: Examining workplace equality, women’s participation, maternity benefits, and intersectionality in labour law.
  • Economic Governance: Exploring labour regulation in the context of liberalisation, globalisation, and technological change.

This symposium aims to foster academic inquiry, interdisciplinary dialogue, and policy engagement to build inclusive and resilient frameworks for the future of work.


About the Institution:

Established in 2017 under the Soundarya Educational Trust (R), Soundarya College of Law is affiliated with Karnataka State Law University, Hubballi. It offers:

  • Technological change, automation, and the future of work
  • Labour governance and compliance mechanisms

Submission Guidelines:

  • Word Limit: 3000–4000 words (excluding footnotes)
  • Abstract: 250–300 words, 5 keywords, separate cover letter with author details
  • Citation Style: Bluebook (21st Edition)
  • Formatting: Times New Roman, 12 pt (14 pt for headings), 1.5 line spacing
  • Co-authorship: Up to 2 authors
  • Plagiarism Limit: Maximum 10%
  • AI-generated content: Strictly prohibited
  • Publication: Selected papers will be published as an edited book with ISBN
