Amity Law School, Mumbai, presents Vidhi Dharmotsav 2.0, a three‑day national legal festival celebrating Law, Justice, and Righteousness. The event features multiple competitions designed to challenge legal knowledge, advocacy, and analytical skills.
Objectives of Vidhi Dharmotsav 2.0:
- Prepare students for careers in litigation and courtroom practice.
- Provide a platform for public speaking and advocacy.
- Strengthen research, case law analysis, and legal writing.
- Instill awareness of legal ethics and professional conduct.
Moot Court Competition:
- Dates:
- Preliminary Round – 14th February 2026 (Online)
- Quarterfinals & Semifinals – 27th February 2026 (Offline, Amity Mumbai Campus)
- Final Round – 28th February 2026 (Offline, Amity Mumbai Campus)
- Eligibility: Students, scholars, and academicians from UGC/BCI recognized institutions.
- Team Composition: 2–3 members (Speakers + Researcher).
- Registration Fee: ₹4000 + GST
- Awards:
- Winner – ₹50,000 + Trophy + Certificate of Excellence
- Runner‑Up – ₹35,000 + Trophy + Certificate of Excellence
- Best Speaker – ₹15,000 + Certificate
- Best Researcher – ₹15,000 + Certificate
- Best Memorial – ₹15,000 + Certificate
- International Opportunity: Winning team represents India at the Commonwealth Mooting Competition, Malaysia 2026.
Article Writing Competition:
- Platform for participants to showcase writing skills on current events and media issues.
- Encourages analytical thinking and awareness of contemporary legal and social challenges.
Essay Writing Competition:
- Focused on contemporary topics of law and society.
- Provides students with an opportunity to express perspectives and strengthen legal writing.
Crime Scene Investigation:
- Simulation‑based competition where participants analyze crime scenes.
- Tasks include evidence collection, evaluation, and logical deduction.
- Designed to test practical application of forensic and legal knowledge.
Paper Presentation:
- Research‑oriented competition requiring participants to draft and present papers on specific legal topics.
- Encourages academic rigor, structured argumentation, and public speaking.
Debate Competition:
- Platform for students to engage in structured debates on pressing legal and social issues.
- Enhances critical thinking, articulation, and persuasive advocacy.
Researcher’s Test:
- Conducted online on 13th February 2026.
- 30 objective questions based on laws, precedents, and moot proposition facts.
- Duration: 30 minutes No negative marking.
- Determines the Best Researcher Award.
