The National Law University and Judicial Academy Assam, (NLUJAA) was established by the Government of Assam by the enactment of the National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam Act 2009 (Assam Act No. XXV of 2009). The university with the generous support of the Government of Assam is now conducting its academic activities in great vigour and glory on the northern banks of the mighty river Brahmaputra, with around 300 students pursuing the flagship programme of the university B.A., LL.B. (Hons.), LL.M and PhD respectively. At present the university conducts its activities under the leadership and guidance of the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) V.K. Ahuja.
