About the University:

Unity Post Graduate College, Lucknow, established under the aegis of Lucknow University, was the first institution in the city to introduce a five-year integrated law program. Guided by its founder, Justice Murtaza Hussain, the college is dedicated to making legal education a catalyst for social, political, and economic change. It offers both five-year integrated and three-year law courses under a semester system, producing graduates who are now established advocates and judges. Beyond academics, the college emphasizes holistic development through national-level seminars, debates, and moot court competitions that hone advocacy skills. Faculty members provide continuous academic support through lectures, notes, and recorded materials. Committed to nurturing socially responsible legal professionals, the college aims to develop future lawyers who will uphold the Constitution of India and contribute meaningfully to the nation’s progress.

About the Moot Court Competition:

The Justice Murtaza Husain Memorial Moot Court Competition aims to equip LL.B students with practical litigation experience, enhancing their research and advocacy skills. Organized annually by the Unity Moot Court Committee of Unity P.G. College, the event upholds high standards of mooting excellence. The 10th edition will be held from 28th–30th November 2025, following a successful 9th edition that saw participation from top law schools across India. Past winners included KIIT University and NLU Jabalpur, with accolades also going to AMU, Lloyd Law College, and Integral University. The competition continues to grow in prestige, attracting eminent legal personalities including High Court judges.

Eligibility:

  • Individuals currently enrolled in any institution/university/college pursuing either the 3-year LL.B or the 5-year integrated LL.B. program at the time of the Competition shall be eligible to participate in the Competition.
  • Teams must register by 23:59 hrs on 10th November 2025 by filling out the Google form and after making of the payment.
  • There is a maximum cap of 30 teams and it is totally based on a first-come first-served basis.

Registration Fee:

The registration fee for each team shall be as follows:
INR 3000/- (without accommodation)
INR 6000/- (with accommodation)
